Geheimrat adolf Pilger and Gesandter Hans Pilger

I would like help in finding more information on how to find information on my Great-Grandfather Dr. Geheimrat Adolf Pilger and my Great Uncle Gesandter Hans Pilger. If any one could point me towards some government websites that I could access, it would be much appreciated. My families ancestral home was in Marienburg, Koln.

Thanks,

Chris Pilger

Ulrich,
Thankyou for your kind greetings! I will have to get out my German/English dictionary to translate the link.
It has been many years since I studied the German language. Now is a good time to practice.
Mit Freundlichen Greussen,
Chris

Hi Ulrich,
I saw harald's message. Unfortunately I do not know if any of my ancestors are from that area. Although I have
only researched up my Great grandfather who lived in Marienburg, koln from about 1855-1937. I have just started my search further and it is slow going right now. I was told by my grandmother that our family had always lived in Koln, but who knows family tends to go to other places.
Thanks,
chris

Hello Hina,
Thankyou, I have that information about Hans pilger. I was hoping for more information
About my Greatgrandfather . There is a lot of information about my Great Uncle Hans on the Web,
What I would like to know is what happened to his wife Clara Van Meeteren and their daughter
Uta? I think they may have died in WWII. I have lots of searching to do.
Thankyou for your help.

Hans Pilger

Hello Uta,
I have sent you an e-mail. If you have not received it please reply to me here.
I was very surprised to hear from you. It will be nice to share family information
with you.

My Grandfather(Hans younger brother) immigrated to Canada in 1912. He bought
a farm in Alberta which he farmed for many years, he then left it with his younger
brother Emil, there are now many Pilger family living in Western Canada. Please
feel free to e-mail me for more information.
Your new cousin,
Chris Pilger
