intra privatos parietes = zu Hause = at home
Ambtman = Amtmann = bailiff
Nanne = Vater = father
frembden = fremden = foreign
Gevattern = Taufzeuge = godparent
obbenanten = obenan = on top

Would anyone like to try to translate the old German to modern German and/or English that everyone can understand?

1719, am 25. Mai,
hat Herr Kapitän von Schwan
einen kleinen Sohn zuhause taufen lassen
und ihn "Friedrich August" nennen lassen.
Anstelle eines fremden Paten
hob Herr Amtmann Nanne das Kind aus der Taufe
und gab ihm die erwähnten Namen.

... Captain von Schwan let baptize a little son at home
and let him call "Fr. A.".
Instead of an unkown godfather
the bailiff Mr. Nanne gave the mentioned names to the child

I could'nt do better :wacko:

Alles richtig, wie von Henry geschrieben.
Und der Link auf „Nanne“ ist nicht mehr relevant. Der Herr Amtmann heißt Nanne und nicht wie von mir zuerst gelesen …kman.

Ich schreib auf Deutsch, because, wie man so schön sagt: „my English is under all pig“ ;-)
