Hallo!

----------------[Translation]---------------

Bitte kann das einer für mich erledigen? :D DANKE

Hi mazzy

Welcom to our Forum!

It would be helpful if you can give us more exact dates and facts.
Do you know the date and place of birth of Johannes Lachner?
Do you know where he lived before he went in the army?
Which Königsburg do you mean, the one in Eastprussia?
Are you sure that it was in 1943 when he was in Königsburg?
Did he die in the war or is he missed or did he survive the war?

If he is a direct ancestor of you, you can write to the WASt
and ask for his military curriculum. It contains the military units
he belonged to and the theatres of war where they were.
Sometimes there are also details if he was in military hospitals
or if he was a prisoner of war.

If he is missed since the war and was reported missing at the
DRK (Red Cross of Germany) you can write to the DRK Suchdienst
and ask for the Vermisstenregistrierung, Vermisstenbildliste,
Heimkehreraussagen und DRK-Gutachten. (= Registration of
the missing soldiers, List of photos of the missing soldiers,
Reports of the Soldiers who survived the war and had seen
him during the war, or how he died, or as prisoner of war.)

Johannes Lachner

thanks for your reply. No, I'm sorry I don't have an exact birthdate. But he was definitely in the military in 1943. He may be deceased.

thanks for your help.

Hi Mazzy

Without knowing his date and place of birth and
without knowing and proving that he is deceased
without proving that he is a direct ancestor of you
the researches at the WASt and the DRK won't be successful.

I have just had a look at online-gravesearch of the Volksbund
there is no Johannes Lachner mentionned, but there are
12 Johann Lachner who died during WW2.
