Looking for information on my great great grandfather, Jakob Hermann Kopschina, son of Herman Kopschina and Mary Tazhia. Jakob was born 13 Jun 1866 in Alsace and died 23 May 1908 in Pennsylvania, USA. He emigrated from Germany in the 1880s with his mother, brother (Heinrich J.) and sister (Mary A.). The father, Herman, died in Germany from miner's asthma before 1880. I'm really looking to find anything I can on this surname. It was changed to Kopshina in the United States.
