Census 1930 - I can't seem to find the address

Dear friends,

I have an address and name on a passenger list from 1929.
I tried finding the address and/or name in the US 1930 census but failed to be succesful.
I tried with the reverse ED locator but could not find the address back on the images.
I tried looking for the name, get several results but cannot get a clue on the right one.

The name: Miss M. Schafer
Address: 18 West 17th Street, New York

The name is mentioned on the passenger list as a friend of "Alfred Bock" and "Curth Hartog".

Many thanks for your time,
Hans
