Can you tell me the translation of:
Dat. -- -- -- infra oct. Martini.
I don't know if Martini refers to a person or a saint's day, there is no indication in the passage before the date.
Thanks,
(Mrs) Chris Swan

Hello Chris,
I guess there is a misspelling instead of "oct. Martii" = March, 8. The writer may have had in mind St. Martini-Day (November, 11).
Kind regards
Detlef
Hello Chris,
"oct" may be an abbreviation of "Octave". In this case "infra oct. Martini" would be a date between the 11th and 19th November.
