Searching for HOLLER Ancestors

I am searching for my HOLLER ancestors from Hesse-Darmstadt. Christian "Christoph" Holler, wife Elizabeth, and son Philipp, came to Pennsylvania, USA, in 1822. Philipp (2xggf) was born 27 Sep 1820, Christian (3xggf) was born 5 May 1792, and Elizabeth (3xggm) was born 29 Aug 1798. Census records show that they were from Hess-Darmstadt but I have no idea what town they were located in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Mike,

the landgraviate Hesse was divided in 1567 into 4 parts by distribution of the estate: Hesse-Kassel, Hesse-Darmstadt, Hesse-Marburg and Hesse-Rheinfels; Hesse-Darmstadt became later on the Grandduchy Hesse.
For further researches a more focussed info is nessessary, from where the Hollers came (e.g. town, village).

Kind regards

Helo Detlef,
I wish I had more information but the only records I have are the US census records for 1850, 1860, 1870, 1880, 1900 which all indicate simply Hesse-Darmstadt or Darmstadt. Are there any passenger records from the 1820's that might indicate their names and thus where exactly they were from?
