My great-grandfather was Karl Gustav "Gust" Michael. He was born 12 Sep 1871 in Jakobshagen, Pommern. His father's name was Wilhelm b. about 1846 in Jakobshagen immigrated to Milwaukee in 1891, his mother's name is unknown. He had 3 sisters, two also came to Milwaukee (Emma Brenner & Mathilda "Tillie" Thiele), one stayed behind with her husband, Robert Schmidt (first name unknown).
Karl married Wilhelmina "Minnie" Paschke in about 1902, location of marriage unknown. Minnie was born 6 Nov 1882, possibly in Fritzenberg? They immigrated together in 1903 from Hamburg to Ellis Island.
I do not know much about their lives before immigration and would love to find out more.
