This is a good data base when you do not know exactly where to start. I looked for the names Goral and Gierth in the region "Kempen-Adelnau-Ostrowo-Schildberg"
Perhaps I found the marriage of your Great-Grandparents in the German version:

Evangelische Gemeinde Grabów nad Prosną [Grabow], Eintrag 4 / 1873

Adalbert Goral (31 Jahre alt, Witwer) 100%
Johanna Gerth (18 Jahre alt) 83%

It's me again - just for fun I tried the English version for the first time
(it's seems to be quite self explanatory - the only difficulty could be that the names of the parishes are in polish language)
This time I only used the search criteria: "last name of any spouse" = Goral and the same region as before
This could perhaps be Adalbert Goral's first marriage:

Protestant community Ostrzeszów [Schildberg], entry 40 / 1867

I think that the marriage in Grabow IS the one of my ancestors.
The second is not him (I think). Having asked my family I am told Adelbert's parents were Johann Goral & Rosalie Gasiorek but they have no idea where they were from. The English search did not find any record of that couple.
I have discovered some old papers which say Adelbert was born in Marszalki , Poland. They also say his parents were Carl Goral & Rozalia Gasiorek. So now I am more confused - Carl or Johan ?
