my grandfather Ernst Oswald Kreibig was born in 1879 at Ebersbach Sachsen near Eibau. His parents were un-married yet research suggests that his father was Wilhelm Ernst Kreibich. His mother was Marie Magdalena Kreibig (b 1851 at Eibau) the daughter of
Marie Kreibich (originally from nearby Leutersdorf) and Johann Gottlieb Langer (originally from Bautzen), a contract worker.
We know that Grandfather Ernst Oswald Kreibig migrated to London England in 1908 where he met our Grandmother, and then in 1910 they both migrated to Australia.
QUESTIONS
Are there are any records of Ernst Oswald Kreibig between 1879 and 1908 in Ebersbach or the surrounding areas?
He was skilled in wood work so perhaps he was an apprentice. Did he have a wife and children in Ebersbach or nearby?
