TISCHER from Jauer or Peterwitz?

I have letters from Elly Tischer who may have been the daughter of Paul Tischer who owned a rolling/flour mill in Jauer, Prussia up until WW2. Elly Tischer escaped from Jauer as the Russian Army approached and was last heard of by my family in Ansbach Displaced Person camp in Bayern. I am having difficulty finding any further information. Elly was related to my great grandfather Ewald Tischer born in Peterwitz nr Jauer, Prussia in 1856.
