I have a Family name with bei_dem_Autor added . Could someone inform me about this phase "To the Author" when added to a surname??

It might be a good idea to give us a scan or a link.

Without a scan it is difficult.

But if I should speculate it sounds like a location hint.

For example "resident bei_dem_Autor...." resident at the autors house.

To understand that right the scan of the whole page would be neccessary.
